Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal Yoga is a gentle form of yoga, intended to complement the growing needs of a pregnant woman’s body. The poses are designed to keep you safe while stretching, deep breathing and mind centering.
Along with the restorative poses, this class will target strengthening the body to carry the weight of the baby and prepare for delivery, as well as aid in any challenges mama may face along the way (i.e. round ligament pain, sciatica or incontinence). Focus on pelvic health, a functional core and decompressive exercises.
-
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa flow links breath to movement, flowing from pose to pose.
Classes are creative and designed to bring you to a meditative state while still getting a good workout.
In this moderate-paced flow, students will be led through Sun Salutations, side bends, heart openers, backbends, hip openers, inversions, balances, standing poses, forward folds, core, twists and a floor sequence. These classes are catered for all levels.
-
Core Power Strengthening Yoga
Core Power Strengthening Yoga is a fast paced class designed to build strength and endurance while burning calories.
Flows give you a full body workout and are more vigorous than vinyasa flow classes. Practice will take you to your depth in each posture and include squats, longer holds, arm balances and core burn out.
Classes will leave you feeling stronger, leaner, invigorated and ready to take on the day.
-
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is another method of training the body to rest, reduce stress hormones, and recover.
It focuses on comfortable positions held for longer lengths of time, often with assistance from props such as straps, blocks, and a bolster pillow.
This class will naturally focus on breath while incorporating a series of poses that are held for minutes rather than seconds, all the while keeping the head below or aligned with the heart.
-
Recovery Flow
Recovery Flow is a slow-paced class designed to promote blood flow to help relieve sore muscles, increase flexibility and equalize muscle imbalances.
Poses are executed in a very gentle manner intended to reawaken the body and accelerate the healing process.
Classes combine slow flow, restorative holds and meditation, assisting in stress reduction and a decrease in inflammation. Great class for anyone recovering from injury, surgery, child-birth, or even emotional or physical trauma.
-
Guided Meditation
Class will begin with 10-15 minutes of breathing and gentle postures designed to center your energy and prepare the mind and body for deep relaxation. Once ready, meditation is practiced lying in stillness in a comfortable position while being led through a guided meditation (called yoga nidra).
Yoga nidra brings you to the deepest possible state of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. It has been found to reduce tension, pain and anxiety, remove subconscious energetic blocks, awaken the right (creative) brain, and strengthen the parasympathetic (restorative) nervous system.
Class supports anyone going through grief, insomnia, depression, addiction, creative blocks, recovery from illness or trauma, or anyone that needs a mental and spiritual boost.
